Description
This library of 19. century, made in Belgium, it represents a wonderful example of the master carving art of the time. It is made of solid oak, which gives it exceptional strength and a characteristic patina, which can only be acquired with time. The surface of the library is richly decorated with deep, hand-carved ornaments with plant and figural motifs, which reflect Renaissance influences, typical of this style.
The central part of the lower part of the bookcase is decorated with a distinctive monogram, which probably refers to the original owner or a noble family. This monogram is placed in a shield and framed by ornamental details, giving the library a noble character. On the sides of the monogram there are reliefs with mystical motifs of mascarons, which may represent protective or symbolic elements.
The upper part of the bookcase is glazed and offers a place to display books, while the massive frame and rich decoration around the glass doors give the whole structure a stately appearance. The entire library looks majestic and is an ideal piece for representative spaces or a collector's exhibition.
State: very good, without červotoče, the locks are functional and all the keys to the library have been newly completed. The library is possible for the transportation and moving divided into upper and lower part.
