Description
A representative two -door chest of drawers from Napoleon III. Corpus made of black lacquered soft wood is fitted with a top plate of white Italian marble. The chest of drawers is decorated with richly gilded bronze applications (ormol) with acantic and plant motifs, which complements the brass inlaid and finely engraved ornaments lining the door and front parties. Stylish design corresponds to the eclectic style of Second Empire, characteristic of the French furniture of the second half 19. century.
On the front door and sides there are central cartridges with plastic ornament, The sides and lower profile are complemented by gilded volute elements. The interior is solved by storage space with a set of a shelf, The inner surface is stained in a dark red tone. The chest of drawers is equipped with an original functional lock with a key.
