Sheraton Pair of English Libraries – Sold

Description

These paired English libraries, made around the year 1950, they represent an excellent example of craftsmanship from this period. The bookcases are made of solid wood, which is refined with veneer and marquetry, which adds to the furniture not only aesthetic, but also historical significance. The front side of the door is equipped with split glass, which allows a view of objects or stored books inside.

The upper part of the bookcases is closed by glass doors with a grid pattern, which are typical of the English design of the second half 18. century, which was reported by Thomas Sheraton. These glass doors not only protect books from dust, but at the same time they add elegance and visual lightness to the entire structure. The lower part consists of a pair of drawers with cast handles and two solid doors, which provide storage space for other items.

Each bookcase has two drawers, which are decorated with fine metal fittings, and this gives the furniture a traditional look. Overall, the bookcases combine functionality and aesthetics, which is typical of English furniture.

These bookcases are not only a practical piece of furniture, but also an important decorative element, which will add nobility and historical charm to any interior.

The bookcases can be divided into upper and lower parts for transport and moving (will connect 4 screws).
