Description
A unique inlated chest of 18. century, which represents an excellent example of craft art of its time. The chest is made of massive oak. The decoration is an example of precise craft art and meaning for the detail of the time. The front plate is decorated with rich geometric inhaiums from different types of wood, that creates distinctive diamond and checkerboard patterns. The motifs of stars and stylized birds alternate in the individual cassettes of the forehead, that symbolize protection and well -being. The upper part of the chest is lined with a decorative jagged belt, that the whole piece elegantly frame. The whole complements the original hand -forged fittings and decorative forged lid curtains, that enhance the authentic historical character of this exceptional piece of furniture. The original fittings, Hand -forged nails and a functional wheelbase with the original repaired key have been retained in a fully usable state. Thanks to the spacious inner storage space and authentic appearance it is a rare piece suitable for historical interiors, stylish residences or as a valuable collector's artifact. Furniture condition is very good, without the occurrence of woodworm.
