Antique mantel clock from the famous manufactory founded by Frederik Japa ( 1740 – 1812), the establishment dates back to the year 1777 v Beaucourtu, and so the first French clock factory was established here. The factory was very successful and flourishing, year 1806 the factory was renamed Japy Fréres and in 1854 renamed itself Japy Fréres et Cie. During its existence, the company won many awards at exhibitions, they won gold, silver and honorary medals. These beautiful clocks, complemented by two winning vases, form a very representative set. The clock is made of marble and cast brass, the pendulum is figuratively decorated with hints of sun rays. The set is quite heavy. The hours are marked on the back of the clockwork.
