Description
A large -format square coffee table designed by a Belgian artist and conceptual designer Maarten van den Ende (nar. 1977). Made in the year 2001, signed directly on the top plate.
The table is made of lacquered MDF boards in brick red shade with a surface imitating structured marble. The top plate is decorated with a double contrast frame - the inner darker surface with the texture is lined with two lines in lighter tones. The work acts as a minimalist sculpture with art overlap.
The legs of the table have a cubic shape, are slightly indented under the top plate and give an impression, that the board "levitates". The table composition is symmetrical and looks very compact and stable.
