Description
Exceptional decorative Chinese porcelain panel with painted scene of children in the garden, set in a richly carved wooden frame. Fine drawing depicts the traditional motif of “children during the game”, symbolizing joy, Happiness and prosperity - a frequent element of Chinese decorative art with deep cultural meaning.
The porcelain board is painted in the style of Famille Rose (fencai) using fine shades and detailed line. The upper part of the panel is complemented by a calligraphic inscription with a poetic verse and two seal stamps of the author - the usual feature of quality Chinese artistic work. The work comes probably from 20. century, with the expected origin from the Jingdezhen area, the traditional center of Chinese porcelain production.
The frame is made of hardwood with manual carving in typically Chinese geometric style with floral motifs. Visually looks elegant and at the same time authentic thanks to the visible traces of age and patina.
