Description: Oval bronze plaque with a right -handed profile of a female head, decorated with laurel wreath and distinctive frygic cap - traditional symbol of freedom. Details of hair and plant motifs (laurel, Cereal ears) are plastic sophisticated. The composition evokes the allegory of Republican values, with a high probability shows the character Marianne - a symbol of the French Republic. At the top is a plastic bow with a hinged opening. At the bottom of the hair is the engaging signature “ch. DANTINNE“. The back side bears the fingerprint of the casting mold.
Comment: Patina and small traces of oxidation correspond to the age of the work. Plaque could serve as a decorative symbol of freedom, equality and Republican spirit. Stylishly corresponds to late academism or symbolism from the French cultural circle.
